Daughter

Tanielle’s life was short and impactful.  Tanielle continues to be an important part of my life and the life of my family.  She had unique qualities that each of us tap into in our daily lives. Because she was such a people connector in life, I feel her influence in my life when it comes to relationships with family and friends. I often find myself in conversation with her, as I imagine she is watchfully keeping an eye on us. This happens especially when I am lighting the Shabbat candles and giving each of our children a bracha Friday night, in which she is included.  I feel blessed to be her mother and be able to continue to learn from and integrate her many strengths and share them with others via stories and the TMFoundation.

Sister

It's pretty incredible to say how alive Tanielle feels 18 years after she died. But that's just it, that is how powerful her legacy and spirit are. From the week after Tanielle died I started taking on ways of hers, customs and intentions she had around people and Judaism, still practicing them today. I was 15 when she died, so I don't know where my essence starts and where her influence begins, but that's just it, the power of being impacted by someone. When I think about my mission around creating more unity in the world through my work, her spark is so present. Tanielle still feels like my big sister, her guidance, her light, her tenacity, her truth and her love, are present as can be.

Friend

Whenever I needed help with a subject, I couldn't understand, usually math Tanielle was always willing to sit patiently and explain the concept to me, just because! Never expecting anything in return she was just simply happy to help. And that was Tanielle, asking what she could do and encouraging anyone that may have looked upset about something. She had a way of making people feel comfortable, they could tell her what was upsetting them, and she was so nonjudgmental.

Teacher

Tanielle was a true role model to everyone who knew her.  One of the many special qualities that comes to mind is how she was always first to greet everyone.  Friends and teachers alike.
With her warm smile she brightened up the day!
I learned form her to acknowledge everyone around around me and make them feel special.
